Australia is a vast, unpredictable land filled with exotic animals, plants, flavours and experiences. It’s a land that breeds characters as individual and diverse as the environment. International audiences are familiar with Australian icons of desert, coast, surf and tropical rainforests, but few people have gone so deep into a place that they literally become a part of it. The Kneebones will embark on a journey unveiling the secrets, dangers, beauty and spirit of a place that, despite its dangers, is a beautiful adventure park with a well stocked larder.
Meet Sean Kneebone, ex Olympic athletic coach, maverick fisherman, nutritional expert and dry witted yarn spinner and his younger brother Aaron, reptile handler, prankster and expert on Australian Wildlife. See what happens as the duo enter the stunningly beautiful yet deadly realm of Australia’s deep tropical north. As Sean concocts meals from only what he catches or gathers, Aaron unveils both the menace and fragility of the region’s fauna. Their constant brotherly rivalry puts them both into potentially harmful and hilarious situations. Join the Kneebones, in Australia’s toughest domain, as it is explored explained and exposed – to the bone.

CHARACTER ARC
Sean, the older brother returns to the Tropical North from Melbourne after years working with elite athletes and actors and studying drama part time at the Victorian college of Arts. “Hollywood” as his younger brother likes to call him, is back to rediscover the beauty and wonder of the region. Aaron, the laconic, younger brother welcomes Sean’s return, but is determined to expose how “soft” Hollywood has become. This leads to a series of bets, challenges and games of one-upmanship where the two brothers push each other to the limit in some of the world’s most inhospitable country. The results are fascinating, dangerous and, on occasions, hilarious.
STYLE
Documentary style T.V. Show, structured in three segments. Based on a mixture of shows like “Globe Trekker”, “Surfing the menu” and “Crocodile Hunter”. The added factor is the ongoing relationship and rivalry between the two brothers.
INTENDED AUDIENCE
18 to 49+ males & females, with an interest in adventure travel, outdoors, hunting, fishing, food and survival. The show is also designed to appeal to a wider less “extreme” audience via the cooking, humour, relationship, rugged looks and laconic presenting style of the main characters.
THE KNEEBONES

IN YOUR FACE, would be three good words to describe Aaron Kneebone, Sean’s younger brother, a certified reptile handler, who holds a no fear approach to life. Having spent his youth learning from the best fishermen and hunters of the Northern Territory, Aaron has taken this unique upbringing and unparalleled bush skills, some would say a sixth sense, to forge a distinctive way of life.
Aaron’s toughness is counterbalanced with a genuine love and affection for the wildlife and environment of the region. Whether Aaron is on the lookout for crocs while checking his crab-pots at night, or receiving phone calls at ungodly hours to remove and relocate a snake from somebody’s home. It is just a normal day at the office. Aaron’s laconic style, understated presentation and dry wit show a character with raw appeal.
Experience the world of the Kneebones, as they travel all the way through the FAR NORTH, and strip it down TO THE BONE.
